DJI has been launched its new Mini-sized compatible drone “Mini 2”. DJI drone Mini 2 has become the smallest and lightest drone to shoot 4K, previously the smallest drone was also from DJI named DJI Mavic Mini launched last year in the market.
We can compare both Mini 2 and Mavic Mini identical but there are some limitations in the new Mini 2 which are not in the previous one or we can say in the original one. Mini 2 comes with OcuSync 2 DJI wireless connectivity for 2.5 times better wireless range and stability as compared to Mavic Mini. But the weight of both the Drone is the same i.e 249 gms.
The New DJI drone Mini 2 uses the same controller used in the new DJI Mavic Air 2 though of course you won’t get that drone’s advanced obstacle avoidance and tracking because it has far fewer sensors.

If we talk about the video shooting of the new Drone it can shoot video at a maximum resolution of up to 4K at 30 frames per second at a 100Mbps bitrate before it shot video at resolution 2.7K, 25/30p @ 40Mbps which is a great difference if we compare both. Now you can also get RAW photos from drone instead of the JPG ones. The drone is also capable of shoot video at 1080p resolution with 60 fps.
The company also claims that Mini 2 has been upgraded with powerful and better motors than before for faster acceleration now drone can fly at a top speed of 35.8 mph (up from 29 mph). Also, it comes with an extended one-minute battery life i.e. 31 minutes, not 30 minutes as before. Also, the new Mini 2 drone can withstand 24 mph gusts of wind, compared to 18 mph previously.
It costs $449 which is $50 more than the previous one or we can say it may be the only con of the DJI drone Mini 2. You can pay for two price variants one is $449 which comes with one battery and a controller only and the other one costs $599 which includes fly more combo with three batteries, a charging hub, and a carrying case.
