Goblin Slayer is one of the successful dark anime series based on a dark fantasy light novel series. The first season of the Goblin Slayer was aired from October 7, 2018, to December 30, 2018. Goblin slayer season 1 was consists of 12 episodes which was a big success and now every goblin slayer and dark anime fan are waiting for the next season of the Anime series i.e. Goblin layer Season 2.

Goblin Slayer Season 1
The first season of the Goblin Slayer series was Aired in Japan in October 2018 and the last episode of the Anime series was aired in December 2018. The Goblin Slayer is based on a dark fantasy light novel of the same name. The work of the Animation was done by White Fox Studios and is directed by Takaharu Ozaki.
In the first season of the Anime series, the titular protagonist was introduced who once experience a brutal view of a Goblin killing all of his family members in front of his eyes. Now that protagonist decided to kill as many Goblins as he can kill.
Later in the first season, we see a Goblin Slayer form a motley crew with a human rookie adventurer named Priestess, a High Elf Archer, a Dwarf Shaman, and a Lizard Priest. The motley crew was formed in the first place to take head on to a Goblin group led by an unnaturally intelligent leader called Goblin Lord.
Goblin Slayer Movie
In the year 2020 i.e. after 2 years of the first Anime season we get to see a Goblin Slayer Movie named Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown. The film was written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru Kannatsuki. The movie was released in Japan theaters on February 1st,2020 with a total runtime of 60 minutes.
Te Goblin Slayer Movie was based on the quest of the Goblin Slayer and his team who are on a mission to save a group of adventurers when they cross paths with a swordswoman.
Now the question is if the Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown Movie is a Success or Not? Well, the answer to this question is a failure but on the other hand, the Movie hit on the box office but can only able to earn ¥100,000,000 in Japan when converted to USD it is around 1 Million USD.
After the failure of the movie, the Goblin Slayer fans face real disappointment and doubt about the release of the second season of the Anime series. But after the official announcement, the fans got to hope and are waiting for the next season of the series.
Goblin Slayer Season 2 Plot
As for the source material of the Goblin Slayer Season 2, it will be a dark light novel with the same name Written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru Kannatsuki. The first season of the Goblin Slayer Anime only covers 1 to 2 volumes and for the Movie, the studio covers the whole 5 Volumes.
As of the total there are 15 light Novel volumes released in Japan till now which means from Volume 3 excluding only Volume 5 the animators have enough source material available for the second season of the series. In case you cannot wait for the release of the second season of the Anime series you can go and start reading the light novel series from volume 3.
The novel series is still ongoing and according to the reports, the second season of the Goblin Slayer Anime will cover light novel volumes 3, 4, and 6. That means the White Fox studio is planning to adapt three more volumes of the light novel series for the Goblin Slayer Season 2.
After the second season, there will be still many volumes left to adaptation that means the studio can still work on the release of the next 2 to 3 season of the Goblin Slayer Anime series. So that means the fans can still able to get enough entertainment from the Goblin slayer Anime series they just have to wait for some official announcement about the other next seasons of the series.
Goblin Slayer Season 2 Release Date
Even after several months of official announcement about the second season of the series the release date is still unconfirmed. We just have to wait for some other official announcement about the release date and further news about the next season of the series.
If you don’t want to miss any official updates and news about the series then you can go and follow the official Twitter account of the Goblin Slayer series. If we have to guess for the release date of the next season then we can assume that most of the Anime get released after 6 to 9 months of the season announcement.
So we can assume that we will get to see the next season of the series really soon maybe it lies somewhere between January 2022 to April 2022. Unless we don’t have any official confirmation we cannot simply say that the release date will be between January 2022 to April 2022. That is just an assumption so we have to wait for some official confirmation before jumping to any conclusion.
