The story of the series revolves around Nanami Momozono who is a high school student living a poor life with her gambler father. She lives in her ex-boyfriend’s house where she is unable to pay the rent thus she is kicked out of the house and started to live in the park and streets.
One day while gazing around she finds a man being chased by a dog she helps him out. But the person who she helps isn’t an ordinary one he is one of the local earth deities. Later in the show, Nanami gets to know that the name of the man is Mikage.
Nanami starts to tell him about her story and the man who was being helped by Nanami decided to help her out and gave his all celestial powers to Nanami and tell her about a shrine. Now that Nanami knows that she gets such power and has nothing to lose she started to live a life with her powers.
Nanami started to visit the shrine and one day she meets with a man named Tomoe who is familiar with the original Earth deity. despite a rough start of the relationship Nanami and Tomoe, later on, gets to know that their fates were already linked through a sequence of events that brought them to where they are now.
