Chinese smartphone company Lenovo launched its new gaming flagship smartphone named “Lenovo Legion Duel 2” successor of the previous Lenovo Legion gaming phone. The smartphone is a power pack of numerous amazing and powerful features including a Snapdragon 888 processor, 144 Hz AMOLED display, Dual cooling fans, ultrasonic shoulder triggers, and dual charging ports.

Lenovo made a statement and said “To provide gamers the best Legion Duel 2 has been engineered to provide users an extreme performance. A lot of thanks to its two specific technologies embedded on the device which are second-generation Advanced Technology Architecture (i.e. ATA 2.0) and a powerful Twin Turbo fan cooling system.” Moreover, with all the statements company made Lenovo also claimed the Duel 2 will get about a 35 percent performance boost over the previous generation gaming phone from Lenovo.

Lenovo Legion Duel 2 Specs and Features

The latest flagship gaming smartphone by Lenovo powered with powerful Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile processor which is one of the latest and most powerful processors for Android. The GPU used in the smartphone is an Adreno 660 GPU for gaming. In the case of RAM and storage, the phone will feature up to 18 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

If we talk about the screen installed in the smartphone Lenovo uses a large 6.92-inch AMOLED HDR 10+ display with 2460×1080 resolution with 144 Hz refresh rate and 720 Hz touch sampling rate. The protection of the display is done with Corning Gorilla glass 5 placed on top of the screen.

The rear camera used in the device is a dual-lens camera setup. The setup includes a 64-megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture. And for the selfie or front camera company uses a 44-megapixel pop-up selfie camera that emerges from the middle of the device when held horizontally.

Lenovo Legion Duel 2 features a 5500mAh dual batteries setup positioned on either side of the central processing hardware each of 2750mAh. The company uses a 90W USB Type-C port for charging which is claimed by the company to fully charge the battery in just 30 minutes.

Gaming additions on the smartphone include eight virtual keys that have – four ultrasonic shoulder keys, two rear capacitance screen touchpoints, and two in-display force touchpoints. In addition, the Legion Phone Duel 2 comes with Dual HaptiX, new dual X-axis haptic vibration linear motors for precise tactile feedback.

Availability and Price

The phone is said to be available by the start of April 2021 in China while in the Asia Pacific and Europe it is said to be available by May 2021. Availability in North America is yet to be announced by the company. The smartphone will be available in two color options – Ultimate Black and Titanium White hue both will be equipped with full RGB lighting.

In Europe, the smartphone with 16GB/512GB variant and charging dock included the price will start at 999.00 (About Rs. 89,000). While the other 12GB/256GB variant the price will start at 799.00 (About Rs. 71,000).

In China where the phone is named as Lenovo Legion Phone 2 Pro, the base model with 8GB + 128GB variant it is priced at CNY 3,699 (About Rs. 42,200). The 12GB + 128GB variant costs CNY 4,099 (About Rs. 46,700), the 12GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 4,399 (About Rs. 50,100), the 16GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 5,299 (About Rs. 60,400), and lastly, the top 18GB + 512GB model costs CNY 5,999 (About Rs. 68,400).
