Finally the day has come for Indian gamer as Sony finally confirms launch date of its new next gen gaming consoles PlayStation 5. Today on the occasion of New Year finally some good news has arrived from Sony for its India’s gaming customers as today Sony announced PlayStation 5 India Launch date which has been waited by all of us. Sony confirms that the launch of PlayStation 5 in India will be on next month February 2.

Sony also unveils that the pre-order for its next gen console PlayStation 5 will be started from January 12 at 12 PM IST. Sony shared the news of restock of its consoles through its official Indian Twitter account in which they said that the pre-orders for its PlayStation 5 in India will be last till the stocks end. Sony has officially launched the consoles in selected regions and rest of world (but not including India) on November 12 and November 19 respectively. At that time Sony said that they are going to launch its consoles for its Indian customers in late 2020, but that doesn’t happens as their are some issues like stock shortage, BIS certification, and a copyright which lead to delay in PlayStation 5 India launch.

As per reports it is recorded that new PlayStation 5 break all the records of selling of PlayStation as total 3.4 million units are recorded to be sold in the first month of launch which is a huge for any gaming console including previous PlayStation models.

PlayStation 5 India Launch

Today Sony confirmed the launch date for its next gen gaming consoles Sony PlayStation 5 in India through its Twitter. They confirmed the date of launch is February 2 and whose pre-orders will start by January 12 at 12 PM IST. The sale of Sony PlayStation 5 in India will go live on Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Games The Shop, Shop at Sony Center, Vijay Sales, and select authorised retail partners.

The prices of both editions of PlayStation 5 was unveiled by company prior there launch which costs users Rs. 39,990 for Digital edition where as Rs. 49,990 for standard edition with disk drive.

On November 12 Company launch the PS5 in US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and selected other regions whereas on November 19 they release it in rest of the world. Though India was part of the original list of countries for the November 19 launch, the date was then redacted from the official website and the console did not see the light of day in the country.
