Finally, Samsung is back with a bang, ahead of CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2021 which is going to take place next week Samsung unveils its new Chromebook “Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2” which is going to feature a QLED display panel. The very first units of the new Chromebook will be available in the U.S. by the end of the month of March. The price said by the company is about $550 but as there are two variants available we have to wait to see as both will costs the same or different.

A statement has been coming from Shoneel Kolhatkar, General Manager, Head of New Computing, Samsung Electronics America, in which he said that “Many kids grew up using Chromebooks in school, and as they enter the workforce and their needs evolve, they’re looking for premium, powerful hardware that can elevate that intuitive Google experience. We designed the Galaxy Chromebook 2 with these users in mind.”

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2

The new Chromebook from Samsung will be available in two different color options: one is Fiesta Red and the other one is Mercury Gray. The material used in building the new Chromebook is anodized aluminium which will give it the perfect royal finish look and provide it premium looks in terms of design and finish.

The New Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 will be the first-ever model from the company to be featured with a 13.3-inch QLED display with a 1,920×1,080-pixel resolution. The Chromebook 2 will be available in two different variants to buy, One will be powered by a 10th-gen Intel Celeron 5205U processor, while the other will make use of a 10th-gen Intel Core i3-10110U processor.

While the one with a Celeron processor will be available in 4 GB RAM and 64 GB Storage, on the other side the one powered with Intel Core i3 will be paired with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB Storage. In case you want to expand the storage of the device Samsung gives you an option by providing a MicroSD card slot which can be used by the users to expand the storage. A 45.5 Wh battery is used by the company to give power to the new Chromebook 2.

The device is also going to support a Smart AMP feature, which is claimed to be 78 percent louder than the normal AMPs available before. And for video calls, the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 will be featured with an HD camera. In terms of wireless connectivity, the Chrome OS laptop has Wi-Fi 6 (ax 2×2) and Bluetooth 5.0. The wired side of things features two USB-C ports and a headphone/microphone combo jack.
